Curriculum statement
Intent
At Charsfield CofE Primary School our aim is to develop happy, young people with enquiring minds, a spirit of curiosity, respect for themselves, others and the environment. We readily work together in partnership with each other, with home and the wider community – learning and flourishing through Christian Values.
We achieve our aims by living the curriculum, through both our academic and extended opportunities. The academic curriculum is based on the ten 'Big Ideas' of Humankind, Nature, Processes, Place and Space, Creativity, Comparison, Investigation, Significance, Materials and Change.

We endeavour to enable all children to achieve their fullest potential in a supportive environment. Our children often say that “school feels like a family” – a reflection of the values of cooperation, support, acceptance and friendship that we seek to promote.

Purpose
We believe that the children at Charsfield learn through everything they do and achieve, whether it be through academic study, social interactions or self-awareness.

Purpose
Charsfield CofE Primary School is a Church of England School and its Christian values underpin our curriculum and what we want our children to achieve.

Purpose
We believe the children should live a curriculum that extends beyond the classroom and staff will endeavour to source and use the best quality resources and provision possible to support them on their journey.
